INLAND AQUACULTURE AND AQUAPONICS

Aquaculture is the breeding, rearing, and harvesting of fish, shellfish, algae, and other organisms in all types of water environments. Fishery resources is attracting attention globally as future food resources, and it is concern about depletion of the resource. Therefore, it is imperative to changeover fishery industry from fishing to raising. Moreover, aquaculture system (fish farm) is absolutely necessary for production process of safe and secure fishery product.


Aquaponics refers to any system that combines conventional aquaculture (raising aquatic animals such as snails, fish, crayfish or prawns in tanks) with hydroponics (cultivating plants in water) in a symbiotic environment. In normal aquaculture, excretions from the animals being raised can accumulate in the water, increasing toxicity. In an aquaponic system, water from an aquaculture system is fed to a hydroponic system where the by-products are broken down by nitrifying bacteria initially into nitrites and subsequently into nitrates that are utilized by the plants as nutrients. Then, the water is recirculated back to the aquaculture system.


We have cooperated with international aquaculture/aquaculture companies to provide flow measurement equipment, which can be applied to the inlet and outlet of each link in the RAS system to measure the flow rate and flow. The equipment has the advantages of convenient installation and multiple signal output methods. The WiFi communication function can upload data to the cloud server, and the user can use a PC or mobile device to connect to the cloud to check and download the data.
